Build me an internal app that my legal and finance teams open to review litigation exposure across our whole book of business in HubSpot, instead of spot-checking company names against court records by hand.

The main screen is a sortable table of our HubSpot companies. Load them with List Companies, and use Search Companies to power a filter box so I can narrow the table by company name, industry, or owner. Each row shows the company name, its owner, how many public court cases matched it, the date of the most recent matching filing, and the court that filing was in.

Match counts come from screening a company against CourtListener. For a given company, run its legal entity name through Search and List Dockets, and keep the matched party text from every result so a person can judge whether it is really them. CourtListener is capped at 5 requests per minute, 50 per hour, and 125 per day per token, so never rescreen the whole table on page load. Screening is on demand and in small batches: I select companies or a page of the table, press Screen, and a progress indicator shows how far along it is and backs off politely as it approaches the rate limit. Store every result with a last screened timestamp per company, show that timestamp in the table, and reuse the cached results until I explicitly rescreen.

Clicking a row opens a detail panel for that company listing every matched case with case name, court, docket number, filing date, and the matched party text. Each case links out to the underlying record on CourtListener, using Get Docket for the full case metadata, so I can read the source myself. Above the list, show a short plain-language read on what the pattern suggests, for example a cluster of recent contract disputes in one district versus a handful of old unrelated filings. Frame that read as a possible signal and never as a confirmed legal finding.

Company name matching against court records is noisy because of common names, subsidiaries, and unrelated parties that share a name, so make triage first class. Every hit gets a Not this company control that suppresses it for good and recalculates that company's exposure numbers immediately. Let me store per company name aliases such as dba names, former names, and subsidiary names that get included in future screens, plus a per company exclusion list of party names that should never count. Persist aliases, exclusions, and suppressions so they survive rescreening.

Hits I do believe get a Log to CRM button that writes a dated summary note onto the HubSpot company record with Create Note, so the account owner sees it in context on the record. The note should name the cases, courts, and filing dates, and state plainly that these are unverified public record matches.

Sort the table by exposure by default so the riskiest accounts float to the top, weighting recent filings and case volume, and let me toggle a filter that shows only companies whose matches are from the last twelve months. Suppressed hits never count toward exposure.
