I want a sector market map explorer that I open whenever I am getting smart on a new space. It runs on Harmonic for all company data and Notion for everything I save. Harmonic is read only, so saved maps and memos have to persist in Notion.

The main view is a search bar wired to Harmonic's Search Companies (Natural Language) operation. I type something like "seed stage AI infrastructure companies in Europe" and get back a landscape grid of matching companies. Each card shows funding stage, total funding raised, headcount, founding date, and website, hydrated with Harmonic's Get Company operation. Harmonic is rate limited to 10 requests per second, so hydrate company details in batches with backoff instead of firing one request per result. Also give me Harmonic's Search Companies (Typeahead) in a smaller "add a company by name" box, so I can drop a specific company onto the map when I already know it belongs there.

Above the grid, a grouping control regroups the landscape by funding stage or by headcount band (for example 1-10, 11-50, 51-200, 201-500, 500+). Grouping rearranges the companies already on the map into labeled sections with a count per section, so I can see how the market is layered without re-running the search.

Clicking any company opens a profile panel beside the grid. It shows the full Harmonic company detail plus leadership and founding team from Get Company Employees, filtered to founders and executives rather than the entire staff list. Include each person's role and a link to their profile where Harmonic has one.

Every company card and the profile panel have an "Expand from this one" button. It calls Harmonic's Find Similar Companies with that company as the reference and merges the results into the current map, deduplicating against companies already on it and tagging new arrivals with the company they came from, so I can see how the map grew. Find Similar Companies allows up to 1000 results per page, which is higher than the standard 100 cap, so pull a generous page and let me choose how many to merge rather than dumping all of them in.

Saving a map writes it to Notion. Use Create a Page to add a page to a Notion database I pick in settings, with the map name, the original search text, the company count, and the date as page properties, then use Append Block Children to write the company table into the page body with a row per company covering name, funding stage, total funding, headcount, founding date, and website. The app's home screen lists my previously saved maps by reading that database back with Query a Data Source, so the space I mapped last month is still there when I return. Opening a saved map rehydrates it, using Retrieve Block Children to read the stored company table back out.

Each saved map gets a "Write the sector memo" button that kicks off a background agent over the companies on that map. The agent segments them into categories, calls out who is best funded, identifies where the whitespace is, and names which companies are worth a meeting and why. It writes the memo as a new Notion page with Create a Page and Append Block Children, then links that page from the map page so the whole team can read it. The map view shows memo status while the agent runs and surfaces the link to the finished memo when it lands.

The person using this is an investor or analyst getting smart on a space across a thesis cycle, so the app has to reward re-opening. Saved maps are the home screen, re-running a saved map's search should show what is new since the last save, and nothing should ever require rebuilding a map from scratch.
