Build me an app my sales team opens before account planning calls. It pairs each customer in our CRM with the economic conditions in the market that customer operates in, so a rep walks into the call knowing whether their customer's local economy is tightening or loosening.

The landing view is a list of our HubSpot companies, loaded with List Companies. For each row show the company name, industry, city and state, and the account owner. Above the list put a filter bar backed by Search Companies that narrows by state, by industry, and by owner, plus a plain text search on company name. Clicking a row opens that company's market page.

The market page resolves the company's location into regional FRED series. Read the company's state, city, and industry from HubSpot with Get Company, then use FRED Search Series to resolve that state or metro into the relevant regional series, such as the state unemployment rate, the state house price index, and building permits for that state or metro area. Once each series is resolved, call Get Series Observations to pull its recent history and latest reading.

Render each resolved series as its own chart card showing the last year or two of observations, the latest value with its observation date, and the direction over the trailing year expressed as a percent or point change with a clear up or down indicator. Label every card with the human readable series title and units so a rep can read it without knowing what a series ID is. FRED returns missing observations as the literal string "." rather than null, so coerce those before charting, and it is read only, so this whole page is a pure read.

Put a "Write the brief" button on the market page that kicks off a background agent. The agent reads the resolved series and their recent observations, then writes a short client-ready market brief: a couple of short paragraphs on what that local economy is doing, plus two or three talking points tied to what this company actually sells into, grounded in the industry and description on the HubSpot record. When it finishes, the agent attaches the brief to the company as a HubSpot note using Create Note associated with that company record, and saves a Gmail draft addressed to the account owner using Create a Draft, resolving the owner's email address from the company's owner ID with List Owners. The draft is only ever a draft and is never sent. The finished brief also renders on the market page so the rep can reread it right before the call.

Keep a per-company history of generated briefs in the app's own storage. Each entry records the date it was generated, which rep generated it, which indicators it covered, and the full brief text. Show that history on the company's market page, newest first, with older entries expandable to read in full, so a rep can see what was sent last quarter and avoid repeating stale talking points. The HubSpot note stays the system-of-record copy.

Let each rep pick and save their own default indicator set as a per-user preference, since someone selling into construction cares about building permits while someone selling staffing cares about the local labor market. A rep's default set drives which series the market page resolves and charts when it opens, and a rep can add or remove an indicator for a single company without changing their saved default. If a company record has no usable state or city, say so plainly instead of guessing, and let the rep choose a state or metro by hand and remember that choice for next time.
