Every weekday at 8am, triage the new comments across my Vimeo videos and turn the genuine questions into assigned work before the team starts their day.

Start with List User Videos in Vimeo to pull two sets of videos: my most recent uploads, and my top performing videos by play count. Covering both means the triage catches activity on what just went live as well as on the evergreen videos that keep drawing traffic long after launch. For each video in that combined set, run List Video Comments and keep only the comments posted in the last 24 hours. Deduplicate if a video appears in both sets.

Before classifying anything, build a list of internal people. Call Get Users in a Workspace in Asana to pull our roster, and treat any commenter whose name or email matches someone on it as a team member. Ignore those comments completely: internal chatter under a video must never create a task and must never show up in the digest as an open question.

Read every remaining comment and classify it as exactly one of three things: a question that needs a reply, positive feedback worth amplifying, or spam. Use judgement rather than keyword matching. A question is anything where someone is genuinely waiting on an answer, including indirect phrasing like "curious whether this covers multi-region" that has no question mark. Positive feedback is praise or enthusiasm with no open ask. Spam is promotional links to unrelated products, follow-for-follow bait, repeated copy-paste praise from throwaway accounts, and anything obviously automated. When a comment is both praise and a question, treat it as a question, since the reply matters more than the applause.

For each genuine question from someone outside the team, create an Asana task with Create a Task. Use a short summary of the question as the task title, and put the full details in the task notes: the comment text quoted verbatim, who wrote it, when they posted it, the title of the video, and a direct link to that video on Vimeo so the owner can watch the moment in context. Assign the task to the content owner for that video. Do not create tasks for positive feedback or spam.

Finish with exactly one Slack digest for the whole run using Send a Message in Slack Bot. Do not post one message per comment. Lead with the unanswered questions, since those are the only items that are actually blocking someone: for each, give the commenter, the video title, a link to the video, and a link to the Asana task that was just created. Follow that with the positive feedback worth amplifying, grouped so someone can quickly pick one or two to respond to publicly. Close with a one-line count of the spam and internal comments that were filtered out, so the numbers reconcile without listing the noise. Format the message in Slack mrkdwn, using single asterisks for bold and angle-bracket links.

If there were no new comments at all in the last 24 hours, post a short note saying so instead of a long empty digest, so I know the check ran and found nothing rather than silently failing.
