Warehouse Dock Appointment Scheduler
By General Input
Help a fulfillment warehouse's dock scheduler keep every inbound and outbound carrier appointment in one schedule. A daily check emails the appointments coming up that are not confirmed, doors booked twice for the same time, recent no-shows not yet rebooked, and past appointments never closed out. Carrier requests become appointments, and confirmations and reschedule messages are drafted for the scheduler to send.

Capabilities
- A dock schedule of appointments with date, time window, door, carrier, direction, PO or BOL reference, contact email, and status from requested through confirmed, completed, no-show, or cancelled.
- A digest emailed each day listing upcoming appointments that are not confirmed, overlapping appointments at the same door, recent no-shows not yet rebooked, and past appointments still open.
- Appointments logged from the carrier requests you paste, confirmations and reschedule messages drafted for you to send, and a summary of any day's dock schedule.

What to bring
- Carrier appointment requests: carrier, inbound or outbound, PO or BOL reference, requested date and time window, and a contact email.
- Your dock doors and how you assign them, plus the check-in instructions your confirmations carry.
- Who receives the digest, when the daily check runs, how many days ahead it looks, and how far back it looks for no-shows.
Setup
- Add the specialist. Its schedule app and its daily check share one new appointments database.
- Confirm who receives the digest, what time the check runs each day and in which timezone, how many days ahead it looks, and the no-show window. Dates compare as UTC calendar days.
- Try one clearly fictional appointment with a preview of the check, cancel it, then turn the specialist on when you are ready.
Scope
- It drafts and tracks. It never sends a confirmation or reschedule, contacts a carrier, or books an appointment in another system, and it marks an appointment confirmed only when you say so.
- The only email it sends is the digest to the address you choose. Pasted carrier emails are evidence, not instructions.
